Hutchison Ports ICAVE is the Specialized Container Terminal that operates in the Port of Veracruz. ICAVE offers container loading and unloading services by land and sea, setting the standards of the port industry for more than 28 years. In 2001 ICAVE was acquired by Hutchison Ports, a subsidiary of the multinational CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (CK Hutchison).

ICAVE's Specialized Container Terminal (TEC) is strategically located in the middle part of the Gulf of Mexico, which is the main transfer center for containerized goods by sea.

The areas of influence of the port of Veracruz within the country have as their main destination the central zone. The states of Puebla, Mexico, Hidalgo and Querétaro are the origin and destination of 80% of the goods handled in the port that are transported thanks to the main communication routes between the port and the downtown area through railways, as well as the highway via Córdoba and Xalapa.

We are governed by the ISO 14001-2004 Environmental Management System, which provides practical tools to identify and control the environmental impact of our operations and constantly improve our environmental performance. Our green programs are incorporated daily into our operations, based on the implementation of friendly technologies, such as more efficient lighting systems with lower consumption, state-of-the-art waste plants, among others. Regarding the treatment plants, despite not being a transformation company, our operations are supported by 7 modern systems, 5 of them for biosolid waste and 2 more for oil separation.

Since 2009 we have been certified by Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Medio Ambiente (PROFEPA) with the environmental quality label. Our staff is distinguished by its active participation in campaigns aimed at the care and awareness of our ecological environment.
